My Erasmus+ Experience in Belgium

Taking part in the Erasmus+ programme was one of the best experiences of my school life. During my time in Belgium, I had the chance to attend classes at a local school and experience everyday life in a completely new culture.

At school, I joined a range of lessons and participated in group works with students from my host country. It was exciting to see how their school system works and how much importance they place on teamwork. I learned to express myself confidently in English and to cooperate with people from different backgrounds.

Outside of school, I lived with a kind host family who welcomed me warmly. I helped with small tasks at home, joined them for family dinners, and took part in weekend trips and activities. These experiences helped me become more independent and open-minded.

The exchange taught me a lot – not only about Belgium and its culture, but also about myself. I improved my language skills, made new friends, and discovered how much you can learn when you step out of your comfort zone.

I’m very grateful for this opportunity and would recommend an Erasmus+ exchange to every student who wants to grow personally and experience something truly special.
